Chris is a chemist and drug discovery scientist whose work spans synthetic chemistry, DNA-encoded libraries, cheminformatics, and computational drug discovery. In industry, he has developed and applied DNA-encoded library technologies at 1859 Inc. and Zafrens Inc., with work spanning library design, synthetic methodology development, cheminformatics, screening analysis, hit validation, and hit-to-lead optimization. His work combines hands-on experimental chemistry with computational approaches to chemical library design and drug discovery. 

 

He earned his Ph.D. in chemistry at Scripps Research, where he trained in synthetic organic chemistry with Prof. Dale L. Boger, and completed postdoctoral research with Prof. Jing-Ke Weng at the Whitehead Institute. He founded Delphinex to bring these disciplines together through scientific consulting and the development of computational tools for chemical library design and early drug discovery.
